The pair join from Middlesbrough U21s, having recently returned to action after suffering long-term injuries.
Guisborough-born Alfie Doherty (left) is a central midfielder who has been with Boro for the last 12 years.
Nathan Simpson (right) can play across both flanks and also earned experience at youth level for England.
They will be eligible to make their senior debut away to Shildon on Saturday, subject to FA approval.
"They're good players," said first-team manager Daniel Moore.
"I know Mark Tinkler who manages the U21s, and he wouldn't send them here unless they'd develop.
"We've got so many games over the next month and they'll bring some fresh legs to the team.
"It'll give the squad a lift because they're two talented young lads who'll only improve us going forward."
