We are delighted to announce that Liam Noble has re-signed for another season, while we would also like to welcome new signing Michael Turner to the club.

Noble returns to the club after a successful loan spell towards the end of last season, where he scored one goal and created eight assists for his team mates.

On re-joining the Hornets, Noble said, “I feel like it was only ever going to be Hebburn. It’s a club going forward in the right direction and it’s the first time the club has been in the Northern Premier League's Premier Division."

Noble continued, “It’s going to be a good challenge as it’s a new experience for everyone at the club, and I was just dying to be part of it again."

Talking about family life, the former Morpeth Town man said, “My two little boys, one who is two and the other five, absolutely love coming through and they’re always singing 'ooh Hebburn is a place on earth.' My five year old is looking forward to coming to every home game next season."

“It’s the little things like that, which makes it easier for me to want to sign for this magnificent club," Noble added.

Hebburn Manager Daniel Moore said, “Liam is a great signing for us. We have had the luxury of working together last season, so he knows us and what’s expected."

“However, we can’t underestimate the role he played on and off the pitch, which saw us become league champions."

“We have created an environment that I believe gets the best out of him, and with the immense quality he has, our forward players will thrive, with his experience being invaluable.”

Turner, a left-sided centre-back, signed for South Shields in January 2015, and was there for the start of the Geoff Thompson era as Chairman as the Mariners bounced back from the brink of extinction.

He scored the winner at Easington Colliery to seal Shields' promotion from step 6 under Jon King's management.

In 2017, he signed for Morpeth Town, where he has been for the last seven years. He has secured multiple promotions, and two Northumberland Senior Cups.

On joining the club, Turner said, “It feels good, a little nervous, but i think it’s time for a new challenge after so long up at Morpeth."

Turner continued, “I only know a handful of the lads, but I’m sure they will all make me feel more than welcome."

"I’ve been to Hebburn a few times towards the back end of the season, and watched the run in of fixtures, and thought this is a piece of what i want next."

"I’m looking forward to the new challenge with a new team, playing in the NPL for 3 years myself now, I don't see why Hebburn can’t compete with the top half or even higher.”

A delighted Moore said, “Micky is a fantastic signing for us. He is going to bring some balance to the side being left-footed."

“His experience, attitude and attributes has seen him become one of the best defenders in the Northern Premier League."

“I’ve always been a fan of Micky, so I’m delighted he’s on board and I’m looking forward to working with him.”

We would like to wish both players well for the forthcoming season and we hope they enjoy their stay with the club.
