We are delighted to announce that Lily Harkness has been promoted from the Youth team, to the Women’s First Team.

Harkness first joined Hebburn when she was 10-years old, before joining Jarrow Women.

However, Lily has now decided it was the right time to come back to Hebburn Town and link up with the Women’s Team.

On linking up with the Women’s Team, Harkness said: “I didn’t want to give up football and wanted a new start with a team, which made me decide to join Hebburn. I hope to achieve to get my confidence back and become successful with Hebburn.

“I think my previous experiences gave me the confidence to defend myself in the game and feedback from previous coaches helped me develop my game.

“I plan on contributing towards the team by putting in all my effort towards games and training and I think the qualities I will bring are hard-work, dedication and communication.”
