The Lowdown:

Hebburn face a quick turnaround from the weekend as they travel to Borough Park to face Workington AFC on Bank Holiday Monday, in the Pitching In NPL Premier Division.

On Saturday, the Hornets played out a one-all draw at home to Basford United. Ashley Chambers
gave the visitors the lead in the thirty-first minute, and they were able to hold on until the ninety-fourth, before Olly Martin converted from the penalty spot deep into second half stoppage time to rescue a point for his side.

Workington suffered a heavy three-nil defeat away to high-flyers Ashton United on Saturday. Louis White struck his side ahead in first half stoppage time, then two goals in the final thirteen minutes from Darius Osei and Tom Denton sealed the three points.

Pre-Match Thoughts

Hebburn Manager Daniel Moore spoke post-match after the draw against Basford United, and offered his thoughts ahead of tomorrow’s game. Moore commented, “We’ll have to rotate the squad. We’ll have to get our thinking caps on because we’re really short. We’re going there to try and get the three points.”

Venue

The match will be played at Borough Park, CA14 2DT. Ticket prices are £13 adults, £9 concessions, £5 ages 16-17 and £2 under 16s. Buy online via the Workington website, or pay via cash or card on the gate.
