Hebburn Sports Ground
The Lowdown
Hebburn Town are set to make history on Saturday as they play host to Warrington Rylands in their opening fixture of the Pitching in NPL Premier Division. This is the Hornets debut campaign at this level following their East Division title triumph last season.
In their final pre-season outing, Hebburn ran out three-nil winners against Blyth Spartans. Amar Purewal, Joe Walton and Gildo Da Silva were all on the scoresheet to round off a tough pre-season for the lads. As for the Blues, they concluded their pre-season with a four-nil victory over a Salford City XI last week. Clive Smith and Sam Burns bagged first half goals, then a Ntumba Massanka brace sealed a thumping win.
Pre-Match Thoughts:
Hebburn Assistant Manager Mark Hudson offered his thoughts ahead of the game. “It’s a tough game, obviously they were up there last season. We’ll be doing our homework this week and making sure our lads are right. We’re also at home so we have to take advantage of that.”
Venue
The match will be played at the Hebburn Sports Ground, NE31 1UN.
Ticket prices are £10 adults, £8 concessions, £2 under 16s and free for under 12s.
